The Ultra-Flex tip shape and narrow tip outline found in the Switch & Switch Sonic ranges is designed to give the most forgiving and softest ride in our range.

1: Center Spine: Reduced stiffness around the tips to maintain a high level of stability underfoot to prevent unwanted distortion.

2: Venturi Concave: Increased planing ability, allowing for a more user-friendly, forgiving, ride.

3: Freeride Outline: Extra curve along the rail, having the tips narrower in relation to the central width. This  allows for smooth carving and easy rail to rail transitioning.

Freeride Continuous Rocker

This is Airush’s freeride oriented rocker that delivers the ideal balance between control, ease of planing and smooth transitioning for the ultimate freeride experience.

 

FMS Rating

Airush introduced the FMS rating 6 years ago as the first brand to quantify how much a twintip flexes. Instead of the good old “feel” test, which can be very deceptive due to the impact of the length on the overall stiffness, FMS takes into account the board’s length and deflection. A lower rating indicates a softer board more suited to freeride, while a higher rated stiffer board is more suited to freestyle. The Airush Switch Progression has an FMS rating of 5.

The 2019 Airush Core Freeride foil is designed for moderate speed for the intermediate rider. To produce a good balance between manoeuvrability and stability the foil has a kite rear x-wing configuration and a 825cm2 freeride front wing.

For the rider looking for a moderate speed setup, the 2019 Airush Core Freeride Foil set features the intermediate aspect ratio 825 cm2  front wing with the 60cm mast as a standard.

The F-One IC6 950 V.3 is very accessible and offers a surprising potential for progression so it is really the ideal “first” foil purchase.

Made in our specific technology called Injected Carbon, our wings and stabilisers are very tough and very durable. This technology makes our IC6 wings a lot more ding resistant than conventional carbon wings. The front wing has a metal insert at its core to provide extra resistance and better stiffness. The wing is bolted to the fuselage using two in-line and two offset screws, resulting in a connection geometry that ensures a very solid and stiff assembly.

The fuselage and mast are made of aluminium. The mast plugs directly into the fuselage and, at the top, a 4-bolt plate that can be plugged in to get the foil compatible with any board fitted with tracks. Alternatively, a selection of optional standards like KF, DeepKF or Tuttle heads is also available.

This foil is not only versatile but it’s also very intuitive and predictable. The take-off is really progressive, the ride in the air super smooth. You have complete control on the speed and on your path.

The latest front wing design is 950cm². It has been refined from the previous versions to extend the range of use. With more lift, the IC6 V3 is easier than ever to learn on and have fun whatever your foiling level. Using careful design, it can fly at very low speed but it can also accelerate with great maneuverability and a fantastic carving potential.

FUSION LINK

The FUSION LINK enables the perfect connection between the Fuselage and the Front Wing using a large solid plate at the front of the fuselage.
It is screwed to the front wing using 4 x M6 – 14 mm screws , resulting in a connection geometry that ensures a very solid and stiff assembly.

Aluminium 6061

Produced from an extrusion process, our aluminium profiles make the most of this homogeneous material to provide perfect stiffness both in torsion and bending. All areas in contact with other metals or carbon parts are duly isolated against galvanic reactions.

Machining blocks of aluminium 6061 guarantees the maximum accuracy and preserves the mechanical properties of this higher grade of aluminium. All parts are fully anodised and stainless steel inserts are fitted with isolating gel when fastening is required.

Foiling has unleashed a fantastic riding potential in light wind, but it has also proven to be a fantastic support to carve some lines on flat waters or small waves alike. Imagine a foil that is stable and lifts you at low speed so you can succeed all your transitions or tricks, or a foil that glides and can accelerate so you can race your mates for a short moment before you bank on a nice wave to lay a perfect turn. This is the MIRAGE foil.

Built using the Monobloc structure with pre-preg carbon, the foils are both very light and strong. This setup brings improved load transmission and better stiffness throughout the different parts for maximum control. The TITAN connection allows to plug in either an aluminium or carbon mast, and the fuselage is split in two to facilitate transport.

The MIRAGE CARBON is the better choice of the line if you’re looking for performance and is recommended with the C220 SURF stab. This stabilizer offers fantastic glide and great carving potential. Fast and agile, it will perfectly serve the MIRAGE wings with effortless turns and thrilling accelerations.

The F-One foil is a ideal to be used with the F-One Pocket.

F-One Mirage Carbon Carbon Technology

PRE PREG TECHNOLOGY

Pre-preg makes the foils stiffer and stronger. With pre-preg fabrics, the carbon fiber is directly impregnated with epoxy resin by its manufacturer. This guarantees a perfect ratio between epoxy and carbon and represents the highest quality process. It is then cured at high temperature, bringing strength and durability.

Quality control is much better and so is the working environment for the people building our foils. Pre-preg fabrics offer the lightest weight with the best mechanical properties of carbon fiber.

MONOBLOC STRUCTURE

 Having a stiff and solid assembly between all the parts of the foil is key to making it perform at its best as well as easy to handle.

The connection of the front wing with the fuselage is highly stressed and loaded, so it is one of the critical areas of the assembly in terms of structures.

The Monobloc wings are molded together with the fuselage in one shot, thereby removing the connection and the chances for unwanted and parasitic movements.

The structural fibers of the fuselage are spread into the wing to achieve the smoothest and lightest connection.

It is also incredibly stiff and provides absolute control at all times, with the foil responding perfectly to all of the riders’ input.

When the overall dimensions are too large for convenient transportation, a connection is set into the fuselage, behind the mast where the loads are smaller.

TITAN CONNECTION

The TITAN connection enables a very stiff and direct connection between two parts, locking efficiently any movement in all directions.
Its format is compact which is hydrodynamically efficient and very easy to use, assemble and disassemble.
