New bridling ensures you’re able to maintain the drift when you’re sheeted in. The kite is responsive and goes down the line. But when it’s offshore or you’re riding overpowered, there’s now a lot more reaction from the kite when you sheet out.
NEW IMPROVED TOP END PERFORMANCE
Changes to the bridle have improved the top end wind range of the kite. We’ve traded a little from the bottom end for a considerable amount more top end depower. Now you can experience bigger jumps with better hang time in stronger conditions.
NEW LOW-DRAG, NO-PULLEY BRIDLE LINES
The NEW bridling provides an extremely direct feel in both bar pressure and steering initiation. More intuitive feedback from the bar in both directions so you’ll always know where your kite is. The new bridling enables more responsive steering and pivoty turns. This limits the amount of power that is produced so you generate less speed in your bottom turns, and can ride closer to the pocket of the wave. Our NEW high quality spliced, pre-stretched bridle lines are pre-loaded and measured before cutting to improve accuracy and consistency. This results in reduced shrinkage, reduced elongation and improved longevity. Removing ALL pulleys from the bridle improves safety and gives the kite direct and precise handling. The end result is lower drag, more accuracy and a more direct feeling.
HIGH BUOYANCY LEADING EDGE DIAMETER
For a rigid, stable kite frame which requires less inflation pressure. The high volume of air in the leading edge ensures the kite stays on top of the white water, and is not easily crushed by the waves. The larger leading edge diameter intentionally produces more drag and helps the kite sit deeper in the pocket. It also allows us to thin out the actual profile in the canopy itself. Less curve through the main body of the canopy and a larger leading edge design. Less canopy movement or deformation as you ride the kite at lower attack angles or sheeted out. The kite sits a little further back in the window, so that it will run with you as you steer towards it, rather than stop moving or flying forward and front stalling.

The North Carve 2021 is a statically balanced, stable kite that resists nose diving. Down the line drift is most important when the wind’s onshore. The more offshore it gets, the more important it is for the kite to fly forward. New bridling ensures you’re able to maintain the drift when you’re sheeted in, the kite is responsive and goes down the line. But when it’s offshore or you’re riding overpowered, there’s now a lot more reaction from the kite when you sheet out, and its ability to fly forward is greatly improved.
NEW IMPROVED TOP END PERFORMANCE
Changes to the bridle have improved the top end wind range of the kite. It maintains linear power delivery and you can still ride it a size smaller, but we’ve traded a little from the bottom end for a considerable amount more top end depower. Now that we’ve improved the top end on this kite, you can experience bigger jumps with better hang time in stronger conditions. This gives strapless freestyle riders the ability to choose a bigger size kite than you’d use for wave riding yet still have the control and manageability you need for jumps and hang time for tricks.
TWO-STAGE ARC WITH DIRECT PIVOT STEERING
The Carve’s responsive two-stage arc design enables tighter turns without excessive amounts of power. As the arc shape becomes narrower the kite uses less of its projected area, giving it a smaller turning radius for tighter turns, and less pull or power in turns.
NEW LIGHTER SURF-TOUGH CONSTRUCTION
We’ve maintained the surf tough construction by replacing the dacron canopy panels with a NEW heavy duty lighter, stronger canopy reinforcement material. The reinforcement protects the lighter inner main canopy body and allows the kite to be more responsive in the steering and depower. This adds strength and elongation control, protecting the lighter inner main canopy body and producing a durable kite that can hold its profile for increased performance and lift. Because the new fabric is more conforming to the inflated structure, it creates a smoother, cleaner entry on the profiles.
REFINED AERODYNAMIC PROFILE TRANSITION PANELS
The profile transition panels on the North Carve 2021 ensure that as the leading edge expands, tension from the elongation doesn’t migrate into the canopy and a precise lateral profile shape is maintained as close to the leading edge as possible. This creates a smooth transition from the segmented leading edge to the curved canopy so the profiles are more uniform throughout the entire wing. The panels reduce inconsistencies in the profile, resulting in a smoother, more efficient kite, with more aerodynamic airflow, drive and stability.
FAST-LAUNCHING SWEPT LEADING EDGE DESIGN
Allows more area in the centre of the kite for efficiency and makes the kite easy to roll off the water during critical relaunch in the surf. The North Carve 2021 is not swept in the trailing edge like a bow kite, but it has a lot of curvature when viewed from the side, and the wingtips are not particularly wide. This puts a lot of the usable area in the center of the kite, rather than in the wing tip.
So even though the North Carve 2021 is lower aspect, it is still efficient for its size, and more importantly, the relaunch is super-quick. With less leading edge on the water it doesn’t lay flat, so for fast relaunch in most cases you don’t have to pull the rear line, simply rotate the bar. This really helps if you’re riding waves and need to relaunch your kite quickly when a set’s coming.
DURALITE SEAM PROTECTION
Lightweight reinforcement to protect from chafing and abrasion along the struts to the leading edge. Thin foam padding is inserted underneath to form a lightweight durable buffer which lifts the kite slightly off rough surfaces, and protects the stitching along the struts and leading edge seams.
PERSONALISED PERFORMANCE TUNING OPTIONS

Lightweight Single Strut Geometry
The Ultra V3 is designed to maintain its shape and responsiveness by maximising the benefits of the unique Airush Load Frame. The balanced geometry combines canopy curve, leading edge sweep and a specific trailing edge concave. By reducing the number of struts and combining this with WebTech smart reinforcing the weight of the Ultra V3 is minimised. This enables a greater level of performance in all wind conditions and allows us to push the boundaries of light wind performance.
Airush Load Frame v4
The Airush Load Frame, featuring WebTech, has been the key to setting the ultimate benchmark in durability. By expanding the exclusive Load Frame with WebTech, we are able to minimize or completely remove the heavier fabric. In addition, utilizing the ballistic high-modulus polyethylene web fibers instead, increases strength and minimizes weight.
Integrated High Modulus Polyethylene Yarns
Central to the concept of the Load Frame are the lightweight Ultra High Modulus yarns. For instance, each single yarn can carry 40kg. Think of them as a lightweight web with engineered energy absorption under load, similar to a spider web. These yarns are integrated into the canopy through reinforced taping that allows them to elongate when under extreme load. This absorbs most of the shock that traditionally would have run through the canopy. At the same time, they carry the primary load of the canopy, preventing stretch and increasing long-term performance.
WebTech
WebTech minimizes or replaces the traditional Dacron reinforcing by channeling the broader loads into the Load Frame through a web “sub frame” of ultra-high-molecular polyethylene (Ultra High Modulus). This is featured in key areas such as the primary attachment points on the leading edge or the rear attachment points, while also being used to support structural components such as the center strut.
Technoforce D2
This premium fabric is designed with a high-density structure using high tenacity double-coated polyester yarn in a double ripstop configuration. The double coating protects the yarn as much as possible from UV and abrasion damage. This ensures that the canopy remains as crisp and responsive for as long as possible. This exceptional material is used in conjunction with the Airush Load Frame. Resulting in the ultimate combination of durability and performance.
V3.2 Bridle System
The key benefit of the V3.2 bridle is that the kite maintains steering even when completely de-powered, increasing the usable wind range and overall performance significantly, while adding immense safety benefits. The positioning of the bridle attachment points on the LE of the kite, combined with the V pulleys result in lighter steering, but direct enough to feel where your kite is while riding. Further refinements have allowed us to reduce the length of the bridles, while maintaining the performance characteristics. The Airush Pulleys are made of tough Zytel material for high strength and resistance to abrasion and impact, the Airush Pulley has the pigtails hole directionally correct to eliminate bridle wear. With a breaking strength of 550 kg, the Airush pulley was designed specifically for use on all Airush kites.
Airush Bumpers
Airush bumpers are found throughout the leading edge of the kites to reduce wear and increase durability on rough surfaces. Also these bumpers are key for increasing the lifespan of Airush kites.
XL Inflate/Deflate Valve
The XL Inflate/Deflate Valve features an insanely easy and fast way to inflate and deflate your kite. The large opening creates maximum flow of air and reduces fatigue and stress on your pump. This in conjunction with the Airush High Velocity pump makes inflating your kite extremely fast to get you on the water as quickly as possible.
Kevlar Reinforcement
Kevlar, found in bulletproof vests, is found throughout the Airush kites. These Kevlar Reinforcements are only put in the most critical areas to protect from wearing. Even so, this also minimizes weight which affects the kites performance.
SPS & FBI
The oversized SPS valve (Single Point Inflation System) optimises inflation and deflation. The Fast Bladder Inflation (FBI) increased wall thickness and oversized diameter tubing eliminates tube kink. The SPS cover supports the tubing, further limiting UV damage to the material and preventing over flexing when packing.
Lightweight Compact Kitebag
Even the kitebag has been optimized, using premium lightweight Ripstop nylon (mountaineering technology) to create a unique bag that folds into its own pocket and weighs less than 250gm.

The Mystic Womens Star 5/3 back-zip wetsuit ensures an easy entry and maximum freedom of movement. This year the Star is engineered with GBS, Glued Blind Stitched seams. To fortify these seams even better the Star suit is dot-taped on the critical junctions.
The fullsuits are equipped with Fox lining on the chest and back for a warmer core. In comparison to previous collections, this suit has been spiced up with polar lining on the chest and back for a warmer core. Glued & Blindsticted Seam Construction
The blindstitch seam is aptly named because the stitching only goes part way through the neoprene. If a suit is blindstitched, it is also glued so there is no leakage through the seams. Glued and blind stitched construction provides a waterproof seam. A blindstitched suit is also taped in all areas of excessive stress. O’Neill’s exclusive blindstitch is the Flexloc Stitch. Stronger and more flexible than the traditional blindstitch and eliminates unraveling of the seam. O’Neill’s proven GBS-glued and blindstichted seam. The Sola Womens 5/4 back-zip wetsuit ensures an easy entry and maximum freedom of movement. It is constructed with Glued Blind Stitched (GBS) seams which are strengthened with stretch taping in high stress areas and critical junctions.

The size S/8 of these womens wetsuits come up quite tight, it is more like a 6 if you are towards the top of the size, we recommend going up a size. The size L/12 is true to size
WETSUIT FEATURES
GBS (Glued Blind Stitched)
Stitching method whereby the panels are first glued together and then only stitched halfway through the fabric instead of fully perforating it, which makes the seams waterproof.
Junction taping inside
A neoprene taping is positioned on the critical seams of the wetsuit. This prevents water from coming through the seams on critical points of the human body.
Lycra neck construction
The reduced thickness of the neck construction makes it easier for the neoprene to follow the curves of the neck with less pressure. The neoprene feels like a second skin, while the glideskin inner lining enables an excellent water closure.
4-way stretch kneepads
Kneepads are made of a 4way Super-tex fabric. This is a durable fabric especially designed for protection.
Back-Zip
Back-zip is the classic wetsuit closure, due to the wide zipper opening on the back the entry is very easy. Depending on the model the zipper is often double lined to prevent water entry through the zipper.

The pads fit all standard square section vehicle roof bars and racks*. Made from tough 600D polyester fabric with a waterproof lining and fastened with super strong velcro to secure into place.
