Developed through 3 generations of the Ronson our double stepped tip channels reduce drag and allow a clean exit of water from the board whilst also increasing the rocker in the centre of the tail – great for both heavy landings and aggressive take offs. Our dedicated finger grab is carefully aligned on both the deck and base providing a firm grip whether mastering board-offs without a handle or simply carrying the board on the beach. Accelerating aerodynamic performance requires a complex blend of material selection with an intricate understanding of their implementation. Having 100% access to the factory gives our designers a unique advantage when it comes to understanding material application.
For a super high performance model like the Flux, it’s not only the materials themselves, but the intricate positioning and then handmade craftsmanship by our expert team of sewers that are key to the Flux’s superior aerodynamic handling.
While much of the design journey through the 80+ prototypes was about finding the magic point at which all these elements work in harmony, there are five features outlined below that really supercharge the handling in the Flux and help create its bigger sweet spot.
01: PRE-LOADED LEADING EDGE
Say goodbye to baggy canopy cloth and hello to more performance and a longer lasting shape.
Using a performance Dacron material that is rigid and strong has allowed our designers to pre-load the leading edge and shape it to experience drastically less deformation under load.
Combined with optimised sail shaping and horizontal panels for a tighter canopy, the Flux delivers huge aerodynamic performance gains.
02: 20% LIGHTER AND STIFFER PERFORMANCE DACRON
The 125g performance Dacron of the leading edge is also used in the strut and further accentuates the superb rigidity in the frame. In combination with the new rigid handles the connection levels feel like you’re part of the wind!
Buckling under pressure is now far less of a concern and the Flux’s pre-loaded leading edge and stiffened strut work sublimely well in partnership with the other design features. A new, bigger sweet spot in handling will allow you to find more control in stronger conditions, point higher into the wind, reach higher speeds and also pump with greater efficiency, which makes the wing’s bottom end even more potent.
03: MULTIPLIED SEAM STRENGTH AND CLEANER AERODYNAMICS
The leading edge features a high cell count which creates a more perfectly curved shape, resulting in a purer aerofoil.
The Flux is also designed with many more horizontal panels in the sail itself, distributing the load better along the warp of the fabric. From strut to tip, each seam creates a stronger line connection in the sail and takes more of the load, reducing canopy stretch.
We build natural strength into our products and therefore, more often than not, you’ll find our designs are lighter than even our competitors’ ‘exclusive’ reduced weight designs. Read more under in the ‘Born Light’ tab.

Positioned specifically where canopy loads are greatest, a new, stronger canopy material on the leading and trailing edges provides a force field shield around the central mainsail section.

At Ozone we build our kites for performance and durability using the best materials & components available. Any areas requiring scuff protection we use a lightweight durable material with superior abrasion resistance, while keeping a low profile in order to reduce drag and maintain performance.
Harness Line Connection – A harness line can be attached around the handle mounts or tube for customised rider preference.
Swivel Leash Line – The Leash Line features a strong Dyneema line with internal bungee core and an ultra light Stainless Steel swivel to keep the leash twist free. It connects to the wings Leading Edge via a loop-to-loop connection and can easily be removed if necessary.
Wing Waist Strap – The Waist Strap is slim and lightweight with a strong buckle closure and size adjustment buckle. It connects to the Leash Line via a loop-to-loop connection. If you become overpowered or lose control let go of the wing and it will de-power on the Leash Line. Our wings ship standard with a Waist Strap pre-attached to the Leash Line.
Wing Quick Release – The easy to use Quick Release is for riders who prefer extra security to detach from the wing in a fast and easy way. It is compatible with the Wing Waist Leash or a harness. The Wing Quick Release is sold separately.

Following on from the very successful WASP V1, the second-generation design has been extensively reworked offering even more power, control and comfort. It’s lightweight, simple to set up, easy to use and offers amazing all-round performance whether you are freeride cruising, wave riding, boosting air tricks, down winding or just starting out.
Our innovative Leading Edge and Strut design creates stability and minimises airframe flex, delivering a solid, direct and well-balanced feeling. This rigidity also helps develop power at low speeds to get you powered up and planing sooner.
The Leading Edge seam has been repositioned to reduce drag and to avoid abrasion when crashing.
Modified and Refined Planform
The planform has been modified and the wing tip shape has been refined to reduce interference with the water or ground.
Scuff protection has been integrated for riding on snow or land, although it is best to keep the wing off the ground at all times! Easy view windows on either side of the strut provide safety for you and others around.
Smaller Volume Boards
The WASP V2 is suitable for riding any type of board on the water that has enough volume to support your weight. In strong wind conditions and with developed skills it is possible to ride with smaller volume hydrofoil boards. On the land or snow minimal wind is required to harness the natural energy to enjoy a different feeling of propulsion.
Optimised Power Handles
Power Handle positions have been optimised and the design updated to a round ergonomic shape for increased comfort and control. The streamline De-Power Handle at the front of the Leading Edge completely de-powers the wing for total control when carving on swell or carrying the wing.
Fast Flow Inflate and Deflate
To make deflation and packing easy the WASP V2 is equipped with a Fast Flow inflate/deflate valve on both the Leading Edge and Strut.
Modular Leash System
We have designed a modular leash system that can be customised for rider preference. The WASP V2 ships standard with a Waist Strap pre-attached to the Leash Line. Leash system accessories (sold separately) are a velcro Wrist Strap or a Quick Release for use with the supplied Waist Strap or for connecting the Leash Line to a harness.
Combine with our New Connect Wing Harness
For riders using a harness, webbing loops next to the strut Power Handles provide quick and easy installation of the WASP V2 Harness Line – a slim and lightweight design with an internal bungee contracting when unhooked to stay out of the way. Combine with our new Connect Wing harness for the ultimate set up.

The North Carve 2024 is a powerful, reactive and controllable kite, ideal for carving up a wave face, tucking into a barrel or boosting strapless tricks. Engineered with a stable, lower aspect ratio design for fast pivot turns and excellent drift, the Carve has an extremely direct feel in both bar pressure and steering initiation.

Intuitive control – especially when the kite’s not visible on a big bottom turn, cut back, or in a barrel – means you can focus 100% on the surf. The Carve has a longer, progressive travel, so feels smooth and responsive throughout the full depower range and when you sheet out, is reactive to the very end.
For 2024, the Carve feels lighter, faster turning and more agile. We’ve redesigned the whole kite from top to bottom for better drift and more responsive fingertip-light steering. It has a lowered aspect ratio, new panel layout, refined leading edge and profile for more responsive steering and lighter bar pressure, more stable efficient drifting and less pull on the wave face. Improved overall balance with more sweep in the tips enhances drift, so when you’re surfing, it glides down the line, waiting for your bar input.
The wingtips are lighter, and we’ve introduced a smoother curve and more shape draft back, so the balance is more in the centre of the profile. A smaller LE diameter reduces the pulling power, while added sweep enables effortless roll to relaunch. The Carve is now much more smooth, stable and manageable in gusty conditions.
